From licensing negotiation to tracking and reporting software use, managing software is complex. The emergence of cloud computing and continued economic pressure adds complexity to an already challenging software management environment for platform vendors, application vendors and higher education software consumers. The Virginia Software Summit brings together higher-ed and our software vendor partners to discuss innovative, improved, and more cost effective ways to provision software for faculty, researchers, staff and students.
The 2013 Virginia Software Summit will be held August 5, 2013 on the campus of James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. The agenda for the day is still under development, but is tentatively scheduled to run from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. There is no charge to attend, but registration is required and space is limited. Online registration will be available soon. For more details, visit the Summit Info page.
